As technical assistant, you will be challenged and engaged in a wide variety of jobs working on high profile productions. From lighting & sound to stage, you will be at the centre of activities. We will expect you to enhance our technical standards and ensure that we are operating a safe working environment. Whether supporting education activities, liaising with visiting productions, carrying out maintenance or preparing events you will be expected to be professional and customer focused at all times.

Experience of working in a similar technical role in a theatre/music/events/conference environment is essential combined with experience in stage, lighting, sound and audio-visual equipment at operator and rigging level.  You will also have knowledge of Avolites and ETC lighting systems. A good understanding of H&S legislation would also be beneficial.

You will be highly organised, a good communicator, effective at multi-tasking and have an eye for detail. Reliability and flexibility in approach will be complemented by great team working skills.

Please bear in mind that these opportunities are not 9 to 5 Monday to Friday roles. Evenings, weekends and long hours will be expected.
