Children & the Arts
Competitive salary and benefits
Children & the Arts is a national charity dedicated to ensuring all children in the UK have the opportunity to engage with arts, culture and creativity.
Founded by His Royal Highness, the Prince of Wales, we work with arts organisations across the UK to reach children who may be in danger of missing out on creative and cultural experiences.
Through our programmes, delivered with our cultural sector partners, we create and fund opportunities for children of all ages to connect with world-class art. Since 2006, we have supported over half a million children to have unique experiences across a wide range of art forms – including visual arts, carnival, heritage, performing arts and theatre.
Under the leadership of newly appointed Chief Executive, Rosie Millard OBE, we are entering an exciting period of growth and change. New programme development is at the heart of our five-year strategy and we are seeking a Development Director to help us realise our bold and ambitions plans. You will also be responsible for delivering a fundraising programme that will scale, grow, and ensure the long-term sustainability of our existing flagshipStartprogramme.
Together we will explore new ideas that will enable our charity to reach many more children and become a truly UK-wide organisation.
You will be sophisticated communicator and influencer, with a strong track record of fundraising, ideally gained in a cultural environment. To be successful in this role, you will be self-motivated, creative and enjoy achieving ambitious targets. As a member of the charity’s leadership team, you will bring a strategic outlook and a robust approach to relationship-building.
If you believe you have the skills, aptitude and commitment to bringing children and the arts together, we would be delighted to hear from you.
