Job Description

This post with Many Minds will support and produce a multi-cultural participatory public outdoor performance sharing unheard stories about unnoticed places across the city of Bristol.

The project will work with a number of arts and social sector partners with a particular focus on engaging people from BAME (Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic Backgrounds) also known as People of the Global Majority. It is funded by the Arts Council, Big Lottery and Quartet Community Foundation. 

The successful candidate will be required to support weekly workshops on one evening a week from 5:30 – 9pm in central Bristol, increasing to 2-3 evenings in the weeks leading up to the performance date in mid May. The other hours will be carried out in Many Minds office space above St Nicks Market in central Bristol, from home or in community venues where the group’s work takes place and can be worked flexibly in agreement with the charity’s Directors. The Producer / Stage Manager will report to the Director of Many Minds.  

This role would suit someone who has some experience in community theatre / arts projects, preferably outdoor performances or events and has an interest in working with people who have experiences of mental illness. We are particularly interested in receiving applications from people who identify as BME (Black and Minority Ethnic) or BAME (Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic).
