Art Handling Technician, Tate Gallery


We are currently recruiting for three Art Handling Technicians within our Art Handling team based across our London sites and Wiltshire.

The Storage and Movement Project is a 20 month project focusing on Tate’s storage areas to maximise efficiency in our operational activities. The post-holder will undertake collection care operations related to the above project and, additionally, provide cover when needed for areas including: installation/de-installation, safe handling and packing artworks for exhibitions, loans and storage.

You will be able to demonstrate practical experience and technical skills that will give you the ability to problem solve prioritising the care, installation and movement of art works. You will have an adaptable attitude, great communication skills and enjoy working flexibly as part of a team, committed to getting the job done. We will provide a full training programme, including all technical certifications required, to enable you to work within the Tate’s standard.
