Having just completed a multimillion pound redevelopment project on site, there has never been a better time to join our award-winning museum.
A position has arisen for a resilient and pro-active HR Manager. The role will report into the Head of HR & Volunteering, with the role holder being responsible for managing the day to day HR operations at the Museum’s London site.
The main responsibilities of the role will be to deal effectively with employee relations issues, including sickness absence management and disciplinaries and grievances, coaching and supporting managers and staff with performance management and development, managing the training and development activities, managing the Museum’s induction welcome days, and working with the Head of HR & Volunteering on HR project work and cultural change activities.
You should have experience of working as a generalist HR Manager. You must be CIPD qualified with substantial hands-on HR management experience, in particular in employee relations. It would also be advantageous to have experience in learning and development, including the design and delivery of people management training and in designing individual and team-wide training interventions. You should be pro-active, able to professionally challenge at all levels, able to work independently, and relish being in an environment which encourages and values, innovation, integrity and excellence.
The post will be based in Colindale, NW London. Travel between the Museum’s sites may be required from time to time.
