St Albans is a unique English Cathedral City with a colourful history which can be seen in the Roman remains and variety of beautiful architecture, heritage sites and conservation areas. Set within green belt, off the M25, A1M and M1 the District includes a cathedral, historic city centre and charming villages. In short it is a great place to live and work.

St Albans Museums and Gallery is the newest addition to our collection of cultural heritage sites managed by St Albans Museums. It joins Verulamium Museum, the Hypocaust, the medieval Clock Tower, Sopwell Ruins and the thousands of objects in the City’s collection in being cared for and shared with the world.

In this post you will coordinate the bookings for our award winning learning programme and other events at both Verulamium Museum and St Albans Museums + Gallery.   You will also be dealing with enquiries from schools, groups and corporate bookings as well as providing general support to the wider museum team with administration tasks.

You will be highly effective team worker, with good organisational skills as well as customer service experience. An interest in museums or previous experience of working in the heritage or arts sector would be advantageous.

We offer a competitive package which includes up to 23 days annual leave, pension scheme, learning and development opportunities, flexible working options, leisure/travel discounts and a number of other benefits. This post is subject to a Basic Disclosure Check.
