This is an outstanding opportunity to use your expertise to build and shape our communications strategy for non-show related activity. This will involve driving communications for various departments from Catering and Access to Fundraising and Events as well as general corporate and brand messaging. You will focus on promoting our Hippodrome Projects work. This will include our own curated programme of indoor and outdoor live performances and festivals, exhibitions, community work as well as transformational learning projects. You will also support the Head of Communications in advocacy work. You will help ensure that our messaging reaches the widest possible audience in line with our organisational strategy as well as develop our reach and reputation through print, broadcast, online media and social media engagement.

Of graduate calibre, and ideally with a journalism or marketing qualification, you will have experience in a senior level media and digital communications role. You will have a track record of delivering effective national media campaigns and PR projects, ideally relating to theatre or arts environments. You will have worked across digital platforms on successful social media strategies and are comfortable using analytical tools to measure performance too.

Good at copy-writing, researching, editing, proofing and originating printed and digital communications, you will possess excellent communication and relationship management skills. You will also have strong commissioning skills and a creative journalistic sense.
