Do you have a passion for collections information and museum documentation? This is an exciting time to join the Museum of London, and support the creation of a New Museum at West Smithfield over the next four to five years.
As a key member of the Documentation Team you will provide front line documentation support and training to collections system users across the museum. A large part of this role will also involve supporting the Documentation Manager in configuring and maintaining the museum’s collections management system Mimsy XG.
You will have experience of using a collections management system for data entry, retrieval and reporting; and a good understanding of sector standards and how they relate to collections information management. This role requires a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, with a methodical approach to work such as large scale checking and applying of data standards to museum data.
