Designer, 6Foot Stories Theatre Company

Description

6Foot Stories and Kristoffer Huball are looking for expressions of interest from designers for the RnD of their new outdoor family clown show The Intergalactic Circus of Truths. This will be a piece of creative, play based interactive theatre performed via the medium of an existenital sci-fi game show hosted by two alien clowns, with the sociological objective of improving communication between adults and their children.

There will be an initial phase of RnD at Harringey Shed in London, before the piece is then taken out to Geronimo and Green Man Festivals during the Summer to scratch the content before heading out for full touring in 2020.

Kristoffer Huball: Kristoffer trained at the Lecoq School in Paris and has spent the last five years working with 101, The Newbury Corn Exchange and Rosa Productions on a host of projects and events. As well as being a founder member of Rhum and Clay Theatre Company he also runs The Festival of Light Bromsgrove as a creative producer and has associate directed large scale site specific work with the Camden Roundhouse, Boom Town and most recently with carnival company Shademakers UK on an EU funded peace project in Northern Ireland.

6FootStories is a touring theatre company, formed at the Oxford School of Drama by Nigel Munson and Jake Hassam. Together they make a mixture of work for theatres and non-traditional spaces with a proven track record of delivering participatory projects to festivals & pop-up events. Previous projects have included the highly popular fortune parlour-cum-swap shop The Gypsy Lodge, interactive storytelling experience The Potato Puppet Playground and acclaimed interactive funeral parlour The Church of the Sturdy Virgin, featured at this year’s VAULT Festival in London. They also regularly work with organisations such as Valley Fest, Boom Town, Green Man, Fling Festival and Big Day Out.

We have ring fenced a fee of £1500 plus materials budget, pending a successful Arts Council of England bid.
