Northern Stage is seeking a PRODUCER
This is an incredibly exciting time to join Northern Stage: having expanded our artistic and talent development activity over recent years we are now aligning our artistic, participatory and talent development programmes with the aspirations of our audience and artists. We are exploring innovative new models of creative engagement with artists, audiences and participants, and aim to redefine the role and purpose of a regional theatre while increasing our financial resilience and sustainability.
Northern Stage strives to be at the forefront of re-imagining the possibilities of what a 21stcentury regional producing theatre can be. We take a considerable strategic and developmental responsibility for artists and companies from within our region and seek an ambitious effective original thinker to help us on this mission.
Main purpose of the post:
The Producer works alongside the Senior Producer to develop a high-quality performance programme that realises the company’s artistic aims, cultivates and builds audiences, and achieves ambitious income targets. The Producer is part of the Artistic Planning department, which coordinates the full performance programme and talent development activity, and acts as the central point of communication for all performance activity within the company. The Producer works across all aspects of performance, with a particular emphasis on in-house productions (including youth and community productions) and programming visiting work.
