Exhibitions Assistant, The British Museum


The British Museum has an exciting opportunity for an Exhibitions Assistant to provide administrative support in relation to the successful delivery of the Museum’s programme of temporary exhibitions and displays. You will work with a number of key stakeholders to provide support for selected exhibition projects and provide day to day administration for the Department.

You will be responsible for producing agendas, minute taking, creating and maintaining project documentation, preparing presentation information, undertaking research tasks and some diary support. You will act as liaison with exhibition stakeholders and suppliers, including on-site support in the installation and dismantling of exhibitions whilst also maintaining departmental records, files and archives. 

With proven administration and financial experience, you will have previous experience of working in a support or administrative role, preferably within a Museum environment. You will have the ability to prioritise your own workload and manage multiple deadlines in a constantly changing environment. This will involve a flexible approach to changing priorities and requirements. You will also be able to work effectively as part of a team and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
