Erewash Borough Council wishes to invite expressions of interest from artists to support the design of maps to feature in Ilkeston town car parks.
Each car park panel will have the same main map as its base, with a number of highlighted areas of interest nearby.
Some key town features are: Ilkeston Town Hall, Erewash Museum, Victoria Park and Derby College, Ilkeston Campus. The main shopping areas of Bath Street and South Street should also be highlighted. Other areas of interest may be added through a public engagement process.

Part one - Stage one
A chance to meet with the Economic Development Officer to discuss ideas on Friday 14th June (9am-5pm). Please email email@example.com to confirm attendance.
Expressions of interest 9am 28th June.
Three successful artists notified on 3rd July.
Part one - Stage two
Production of one printed design concept for the map by successful stage one artists to be worked up by 9am 12th July. The printed design will need delivering to Erewash Museum.
This should be submitted in the form of printed material to be displayed on one panel measuring 600mm width by 900mm height, of a three panel desktop screen.
The fee for the initial concept will be £250 for each artist, including all costs.
• The successful design/ artist will then be contracted to work up a full design working closely with Regeneration and Arts Development between August and end of October. A more detailed timeline will be available once a design has been selected. The fee for this second part is £2,000 for up to 10 days of work.
This stage is subject to designs being approved by the Erewash Borough Council Executive Committee.
