Project Team Technician (Stage Bias), Royal Opera House


£31,110 per annum

The Royal Opera House produces some of the best opera and ballet in the world. Our Technical Department plays a leading part in ensuring our performances are of the highest quality by delivering technical excellence for every performance and rehearsal. 

We currently have a vacancy for an experienced Stage Technician to work as part of a Project Team supporting rehearsals and performances, working in all technical areas but primarily in the stage department, assembling and running scenery and flown items.

The ideal candidate will be a strong team player and communicator with:

• A significant proven technical track record in a large-scale establishment with practical experience of staging both opera and ballet productions.
• Demonstrable experience in all key stage bias technical areas: stage carpentry, scenery assembly, rigging and flying. 
• Ability to provide service and use resources with due regard for best practice standards and efficiency.

In addition, any professional stage carpentry, stage engineering, or computer skills would be advantageous for this position.  Awareness of Health and Safety is essential, and appropriate training is provided.
