The Linbury Theatre reopened in 2018 as a world class venue for mid-scale opera and dance, but distinct within the Royal Opera House through its scale and intimacy. It is a theatre which is valued by audiences and artists for the breadth and quality of its programme and for the comfort of the surroundings, and admired & respected by practitioners and supporters for its agility and flexibility. Both the space and the programme continue to challenge and defy the more traditional perceptions of the Royal Opera House. Alongside which, our public foyer spaces are now open throughout the day, with a broad programme of both public and private events.
We are seeking to appoint to the role of Head of Lighting, Linbury Theatre. The postholder will take responsibility for delivery and supervision of all lighting and associated technology for all Linbury opera and dance productions, both in-house and visiting.

Demonstrated extensive experience in theatre lighting: equipment and control systems, moving light systems, and newest LED technology
Familiarity with ETC family lighting control systems
Strong communication skills to ensure effective, diplomatic interactions across technical staff, creative teams and performing companies.
