Commercial Reporting Assistant, Natural History Museum

Description

The Natural History Museum (NHM) is one of the world’s leading museums, internationally recognised for its dual role as a centre of excellence in scientific research and as a leader in the presentation of natural history through exhibitions, public programmes, publications and the web.

This is a fantastic time to join the NHM as the opportunities to develop the retail business even further are clearly laid out and supported by a retail strategy. The Retail team works in close co-operation with teams from across the Museum and an ability to build and maintain cross department relationships is key to the success of this role and retail within the museum.

We are looking for a Commercial Reporting Assistant to focus on Retail reporting, and associated processes across our commercial businesses and varied Museum activity. This includes the creation and optimisation of a variety of Excel based financial reporting and budgeting tools, and support ongoing analytical work.

The majority of the opportunity is devoted exclusively to retail reporting which is integral to the commercial teams as the largest income driver within the department. Another key element is collaborating with a range of colleagues and departments to not only gather data but also generate various reports.

The successful candidate will be a pragmatic individual with proven analytical and operational experience, with the ability to generate and analyse commercial and financial reporting. You will possess a strong team ethic with the confidence and ability to build stakeholder and partner relationships both quickly and effectively, and able to challenge where appropriate.

Contract: Fixed Term Contract, 6 months
Closing date: 9am on Monday 24 June 2019
