Description

Up Men is a project based in Stoke-on-Trent focusing on creativity and connection for positive mental health. See more here: www.upmen.co.uk

Initiated by arts organisation Restoke the Up Men program is steered by a group of men from Stoke who were involved in MAN UP - a show about masculinity and mental health. We are programming events to inspire people to step outside of their comfort zone and experience the wellbeing benefits of creative activities.

We are currently seeking an Improv Comedy Workshop Leader for a one-off workshop on Saturday 23rd November. This will be part of a festival called Stoking Curiosity and we are looking for someone who can deliver a practical workshop (aimed at beginners) and deliver a talk on how improv comedy may be useful in overcoming anxiety.

We were inspired by reading these articles:  https://www.theguardian.com/stage/2017/dec/20/comedy-improv-overcome-anxiety-depression

Please send a CV and a cover email outlining your relevant experience.

Fee: £500 Plus travel & accommodation (if needed)
