Head of Collection Care, The Wallace Collection

We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic Head of Collection Care from either a Conservation, Collections Management or Registrar background, to lead the Conservation and Collections Care team. The Head of Collection Care will be responsible for leading, establishing, implementing and maintaining the highest standards of best practice for conservation, documentation, collection care and collections management procedures in all areas across the Collection.

The post holder will oversee coordination of all conservation, cataloging, documentation, object moves, care, display conditions and re-display coordination as requested by the Director and the Curatorial Department, as well as coordinating and overseeing any Registration or the transportation of loans out from the Collection.

The successful candidate will have experience of working in a museum/gallery settings, excellent planning and organisational skills, personnel management skills and take the lead in caring for the Collection.

The salary for this post will be £35,000-£40,000 per annum consummate with experience.
