The National Portrait Gallery houses a unique collection of all forms of portraiture of the people who have made or who are making British history and culture.
Full time, 40 hours per week
£25,000 per annum
Fixed term for 12 months
Reporting to one of two HR Managers, we are looking for an ambitious and talented HR Officer to join our busy HR Team. This role works with a range of colleagues at all levels across the Gallery and provides support across the full range of HR activities. This includes leading on payroll, recruitment, terms and conditions, induction, employee welfare and employee relations.
The successful candidate will be highly organised with previous experience in a generalist HR role, and up to date knowledge of employment law and HR good practice. They will have a high level of IT proficiency and the ability to manage competing demands. If you have previous HR experience and good administrative, communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage a wide range of activities, prioritise and meet deadlines, then the opportunities to grow, develop and make a real difference are limitless.
