Now You See Me; Now You Don’t
Immediate Theatre is looking for:
- 1 male actor to play 11-year-old boy Aaron,
- 1 female actor to play 11-year-old girl Kali,
Performance skills will take priority over looking the appropriate age, but youthful energy is essential. Both performers needs to be able to play football enough to control ball on stage.
Dates: 20th January – 7th February 2020 (day time work)
Pay: £87.50 per day - £1,346.70 (including holiday entitlement)
All members of the company will be required to facilitate some elements of the workshop and assist the Stage Manager with get-ins and get-outs. Driving license is desirable but not essential.
Now You See Me; Now You Don’t is an interactive workshop and performance package about a serious traffic incident leading to the death of an 11-year-old boy. A facilitator character will lead the Year 6 pupils to uncover what has happened by watching a variety of scenes, presented as evidence.
This award-winning show was originally developed by Transport for London and will be touring to primary schools in Camden and Enfield. The company will perform two shows a day. The work will take place exclusively during the daytime. Despite the small scale of the production Immediate Theatre maintains high artistic standards and is looking for actors who enjoy working with and for young people.
All members of the company will be required to facilitate some elements of the workshop package and assist the Stage Manager with get-ins and get-outs. Driving licence is an advantage. All members of the company will be required to have a DBS check.
