Artist Educator, Bow Arts Trust

Bow Arts is seeking talented Artist Educators to support the delivery of its highly successful education programme.

The Role

As an artist educator, you will work collaboratively with schools to deliver creative learning experiences that challenge and inspire young people and teachers and support them to produce high quality work.

You will be responsible for planning, delivering and evaluating arts-based projects for schools. You will collaborate with teachers and members of the Bow Arts education team to devise projects that respond to the individual needs of each school innovatively. These may, for example, include improving school grounds, developing skills in a particular discipline, targeted pupil interventions or raising attainment in particular curriculum areas. All aspects of your work with schools will reflect our values of passion, innovation and collaboration.

We are actively working towards diversifying our current pool of Artist Educators to employ artists from backgrounds which are underrepresented in the arts. We are striving towards having a pool of Artist Educators that better reflects the population of the schools we work with. As part of this recruitment drive, we particularly welcome applications from BAME, LGBTQ+ and working class backgrounds and artists living with a disability.

We also particularly welcome applications from artists with skills/experience in a broad range of media, as well as in the following areas:

• Design

• Textiles

•  Secondary

• Performance

• Thamesmead local

• Film
