Producing company Time Won’t Wait is looking for a Designer for FeelPlay, Christopher’s new interactive and immersive outdoor show to be presented at Brighton International Festival and Greenwich and Docklands International Festival in summer 2020 (touring in 2021). The show will be a lot of fun, engaging adults in ‘play’ using games, song, movement, live and digital interactivity.
We are looking for someone to design an interactive, strong, freestanding environment loosely based on the idea of a “playground”. We are open to developing concepts with you and have lots of research under our belts as to what will work or not following R&D. The final pieces will be robust and inventive, and able to be used by all kinds of people. We also need you to design 3 x cast costumes. YOU might be an outdoor arts / theatre / environment / spatial designer / builder, but crucially you will have a good understanding of the above requirements and be interested in working collaboratively while lending your unique skills and expertise to the project.
● Experience of working in outdoor performing arts context
● Experience of designing sets suitable for audience participation
● A slick, contemporary design aesthetic
● Resourceful in terms of access to assistance, workshops, builders and fabrication
