Flight Information Service Officer, Imperial War Museums


The Flight Information Service Officer is responsible for all aspects of the day to day operation of the Duxford Flight Information Service in accordance with current CAA legislation and local instructions.

IWM Duxford is Britain’s best-preserved Second World War airfield, with a history that dates back to the First World War. Historic buildings intersperse with exhibition halls, including AirSpace and the American Air Museum, housing rich displays of aircraft telling the powerful stories of the men and women who lived and worked at RAF Duxford, the impact of aviation on the nature of war and its impact on the social and economic history of the region.

Key duties:
Undertake basic Flight planning tasks.
Conduct customs and immigration clearances and liaise with customs and immigration officials when required.
Assist the Senior FISO with administrative duties for air shows and events.
Update the flight-planning notice board.
Input landing fees and associated charges into TOR system for Admissions.
Operate the public address system.
