The Science Museum is one of the UK’s leading museums and we want you to help us engage with our visitors and deliver authentic stories which capture their imagination and ignite their curiosity in science.

As an Explainer you will use your excellent communication skills and your dramatic flair to deliver authentic stories to diverse audiences. You will spend time in the Science Museum’s exciting galleries, interacting with visitors and helping them learn from our exhibits.

In this role you’ll develop your skills through on the job training programmes with the aim of supporting you to deliver high quality, life-enhancing learning experiences that are memorable and engaging.

We have Part Time roles available:

18 hours a week, working 3 shifts of 6 hours each. Shifts are same every week and will be on Saturdays, Sundays and one weekday. Shifts are allocated between 10am and 6pm although you may sometimes need to work later or earlier in busy periods or out of hours events.

You must be able to attend a half day Assessment Day on Monday 10th February 2020. You must be able to start work on the 23rd March 2020 and be available to attend a full-time training course from 23rd to 27th March 2020.
