The Derby Creative Arts Network (CAN) will programme cultural events (theatre, music, outdoor and indoor arts experiences) in community settings across the city. We’ll also be putting events into the city’s venues like Derby Theatre and into regular festivals like Derby Festé.
Reimagine is a unique partnership project working with leading cultural organisations across the city. It provides young people the opportunity to participate in exciting and high-quality arts, sports and cultural activities in their schools or communities, by reimagining spaces and places as different performances spaces i.e. parks, chip shops etc. We are now looking to expand our team and are looking for an Communications Officer.
We are seeking a Communications Officer who will work as part of the team to tell the story of the projects to different people both across the city and beyond. They will use different techniques, approaches and strategies to build and develop audiences which we hope will go beyond traditional marketing strategies, connecting to people in new ways who are not currently accessing cultural opportunities. The Communications Officer will also work alongside the Theatre marketing team from, time to time.
We positively encourage people with disabilities or from minority ethnic backgrounds to apply to join our teams as they are under-represented within Derby Theatre’s workforce. We guarantee to interview any candidate with a disability or from an ethnic minority background who meets the essential criteria for the role.
