Digital Engagement & Marketing Specialist, Beverley Puppet Festival

Digital Engagement and Marketing Specialist

Freelance employment period: March 2020 - August 2020

We are currently seeking further funding to increase the fee for this role so we can fully deliver what we want to achieve.

The fee will either be:

£2,000 (approx. 200 hours @ £10 per hour)

£3,000 (approx. 300 hours @ £10 per hour)

We will confirm which outcome is correct as soon as possible.

Responding to the coronavirus outbreak

Due to the coronavirus outbreak, we will sadly not longer be able to deliver the festival in it’s usual format. Our plan B will involved all 25 of our programmed puppet companies creating video activities that online audiences can complete in their own homes using simple materials.

  • Leading the existing festival team on all aspects of digital engagement, including the technical requirements of releasing our festival programme online

  • Building on our existing digital plans using your experience and knowledge and suggesting extra digital outputs to our festival delivery if feasible

  • Liaising with our Graphic Designer and Website Designer on written and visual content to be included in our brochure and online

  • Designing a methodology so that we can collect statistics of audience engagement

  • Assisting with our evaluation collation in relation to digital engagement

  • Designing a digital marketing plan for the 2020 festival, which reflects the activity delivered in previous years as well as new forward-thinking additions

  • Leading the online marketing campaign with an aim to reach as many people as possible

  • Experience working within the arts / charity sector to engage audiences online through interactive digital content

  • Experience with video editing

  • Experience running successful social media and online campaigns to reach audiences

  • A visual and creative eye

  • A ‘can do’ attitude

  • A knowledge of the East Yorkshire region

Please send a single-side A4 cover letter and CV to Margaret Pinder at before April 1st 2020. Please do not delay sending in your application - we need to fill this position as soon as possible.
