About the role:
Sort of Nothing Like A Bookclub is a semi-regular newsletter which includes a deep dive on a topic and a selection of recommended additional reading. Previous issues have explored class representation in the arts, the importance of LGBTQ+ History Month, mental health and protecting staff wellbeing in the cultural sector.
We are commissioning 6 artists to write a short essay on a topic about which they care deeply, this could be a systemic issue or an element of their practice. This does not need to be a personal story, we are not looking to mine people’s lived experiences. Previous experience is not essential, but is a bonus. We are looking for artists who are able to contribute a well researched which can generate discussion, or inspire others
