Development Manager, Orchestra of the Swan

Orchestra of the Swan (OOTS) is a professional chamber orchestra with orchestral residencies in Stratford upon Avon, at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, The Courtyard Hereford and (from Jan 2021) at Coventry University. With a national and international reputation, OOTS performs around 45 concerts per year, supported by a nationally recognised programme of community activity in care homes, dementia cafés and schools regionally.

This is a key role in the organisation, providing support directly to the Managing Director. Though the primary function of the role is to raise funds from charitable foundations, sponsorship and donations, the successful candidate will also be expected to provide support for other office activities and to meet and greet people at orchestra events.

The successful candidate will be engaged with a 6-month probation period, during which it would be expected that they will have raised at least the equivalent to the cost of their 6-month employment.

This is an exciting opportunity to maximise and diversify funding streams, build the organisation’s capacity and activity and expand the Friends of OOTS.

The office team at OOTS is small and it is expected that the holder of this role will be comfortable being a member of that team and will provide support to their colleagues whenever it is required.
