We are looking to appoint an Accordion tutor (Piano accordion, stradella bass system) for the Level 2 and Level 3-4 (beginner with some keyboard experience to improvers/intermediate level) classes taking place at Cecil Sharp House as part of the Saturday Folk Music Workshops.


EFDSS is the national development organisation for the English folk arts. It is multi-faceted being a membership society (3,500 members); England’s folk arts centre (Cecil Sharp House); an education, training and development agency; an advocate and lobbyist on behalf of the folk arts; and custodian of the Vaughan Williams Memorial Library (VWML), England's folk music and dance archive, which was awarded designated status by the Museums, Libraries and Archives Council (MLA) in 2011.

EFDSS Education

The EFDSS Education department runs classes, courses, projects and events at Cecil Sharp House (CSH) for young people, families and adults, and delivers creative learning projects with schools, community groups and cultural organisations across London and other parts of England, including the National Youth Folk Ensemble. EFDSS also delivers professional development opportunities and courses for educators from folk, education and wider cultural sector, and runs the national Folk Educators Group.

The fee is £75 per 90-minute session, inclusive of planning and preparation, meetings, evaluation and travel (i.e. a fee of £150 for the two sessions).
