The Folly is a Grade I listed historic house dating from 1679 in the heart of historic Settle. It houses the Museum of North Craven Life, which tells fascinating tales of the people and landscape of the local area. We have implemented new ways of connecting with our local communities by creating online exhibitions to engage audiences with our stories and collections.

We have a continuing NLHF grant and have been awarded an ACE emergency grant to maintain The Folly as a sustainable heritage and arts attraction operating at the centre of the local community. To fulfil the requirements of these grants, we are creating a new online exhibition showcasing the history of The Folly itself, and designing resource packs for immediate home use and school visits, commencing 2021. We have £5000 from ACE and NLHF to design the online exhibition and learning materials, and a further £5000 from NLHF to build this exhibition, and improve the navigation, accessibility and search engine rankings of our website.

The contract may be split into two components (digital/graphic design and web development). Applications will be accepted for one or both elements from individuals and design partnerships.

This is a four-month project, with delivery required before the end of November 2020. To apply, please provide a detailed proposal and timescale for the project along with your CV, portfolio and a covering letter by 13th July 2020.

For the role descriptions and further particulars, please see the listings on our website.
