Cathedral Music Trust is looking for a friendly and efficient Administration Officer, to play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the charity.

About us: We are a charity which supports and promotes sacred choral music. We do this by campaigning on behalf of cathedral music and musicians, giving grants to cathedral choirs and choristers in need, and encouraging the pursuit of excellence in choral and organ music. We are a newly formed charity, incorporating the Friends of Cathedral Music and the Diamond Fund for Choristers. We are especially committed to enabling children from a diverse range of backgrounds to experience the many benefits that come from being a chorister.

About the job: We want to appoint an Administration Officer, who will support the organisation’s Operations Director and Development Director. You will work to ensure the efficient and effective running of the charity. You will also manage and maintain the charity’s membership records and communications. Other key responsibilities include providing the first point of contact for volunteers and supporters, handling emails and correspondence, managing the organisation’s database (CRM), managing applications for grants, and assisting with activities and events.

About you: You are self-motivated, proactive and efficient, with outstanding organisational and time management skills and a high standard of written English. You have demonstrable experience of managing processes and administrative tasks in a virtual office. You have a proven ability to provide excellent customer service and are used to dealing with volunteers. You have strong IT skills and experience of customer relationship management systems for non-profits. You have experience of arts administration and/or an interest in sacred choral music.
