THE RHYTHM CAFE:
The Rhythm Café is a non-profit venture.
During the daytime we are a percussion shop that sells a variety of drums and percussion instruments to passing trade, mostly tourists.
In the evenings, and weekends, we hold daily drumming and dance workshops representing diverse rhythmic art forms from around the world.
Paid at rate of £6 per hour
Hours: 10.30-18.30 (8 hours)@£50 per day
½ hour paid lunch break
Employed on free lance basis – via weekly invoice.
Person Specification:
We’re a small organization with big dreams, and our staff are people who are willing to do what’s needed, take responsibility, work co-operatively with each other, in the interests of the organization as a whole. Staff may be asked to change shift or hours of work from time to time.

Job Description
To form part of a small team working to create a community within the market, focused around drumming, and other associated traditional arts.
Shop responsibilities:
Opening and closing
Basic cleaning tasks e.g. tidying up, taking out the rubbish, sweeping and mopping floors, dusting instruments
Welcoming customers into the shop and into the community
Pro-actively engaging customers, demonstrating instruments, providing information about our organization, our community workshops and special events, and our other services
Serving refreshments
Handing out fliers to passing customers
Merchandise and Workshop Cash and Card Sales
Minding the shop – being vigilant as well as welcoming
Stock Taking
