The Scratch Theatre is seeking an inspiring Creative Poetry Facilitator to lead a series of in-person workshops in Bristol centred on experimentation, play and creative freedom - supporting poets to develop bold, original short poems for live Scratch sharings and performance.

This is not a classroom role.
It is a creative space.
You'll facilitate relaxed, imaginative sessions where poets - from first-time writers to experienced voices - explore prompts, themes and ideas. You will support people to generate short, striking poems in a supportive, non-judgmental environment, with opportunities for live sharing and gentle feedback.

Some poems may be selected for performance at upcoming Scratch Theatre events.

We're looking for someone who:
Loves poetry and short-form writing
Can hold a warm, encouraging in-person space
Values play, freedom and creative risk
Enjoys working with mixed-experience groups
Can inspire without over-directing

We are looking for someone who has experience in poetry facilitation, spoken word, or performance poetry, but above all we're looking for someone who can spark creative energy and build trust in a room.

Practical details:
- Workshops will be two hours long
- We are looking for someone to run a session every fortnight
- Start date is flexible
- Fee: Paid £50-120 per session depending on length of session, location and facilitator experience

You'll be part of a small, passionate team creating joyful pathways from writing to performance and nurturing a growing community of Scratch poets in Bristol.
