Customer Services Assistant (Front of House), Arts Section - Warwick District Council


The Arts Section operates three of Leamington Spa’s most iconic cultural buildings – The Royal Spa Centre, The Royal Pump Rooms and the Town Hall. Playing host to a variety of events; from theatre shows to music concerts, all the way through to lectures, comedy gigs and gallery openings.

There is an exciting opportunity to join our friendly Customer Services Department, responsible for providing the Customer Service, Bar service, Stewarding and assisting with Box Office Operations across our venues.

We are looking for people who are friendly, out-going and passionate about providing a high level of Customer Service in a fast-paced and busy environment. The nature of the role allows for part-time, flexible working in an extremely sociable environment, where no two days are the same. Previous experience of working in a bar is desirable, but not essential, as training will be provided.

Roles and responsibilities will include:

Providing excellent standards of customer care

Working as a steward, bar keeper, gallery assistant or mobile seller, as directed by the Duty Manager on shift.

Providing support as a box office assistant, as required

This role is integral to achieving our aim of providing first class customer service.

Many of our performances, events and exhibitions are held during the evenings and weekends – therefore flexible working on evenings and weekends is essential for this role. 

This is an annualised hours contract (4 posts x 450, 2 x 425 and 1 x 325 annualised hours per annum). Customer Services Assistants are expected to be available for the month of December (pantomime is the busiest time of year) and as part of the contract, you will be expected to work Boxing Day and either Christmas Eve or New Years Eve.
