Development Coordinator (Corporate Partnerships and Community), Ministry of Stories

The Development Coordinator is part of our fundraising and operations team. The role is responsible for the planning and direct delivery of our work with corporate partnerships and individual giving. The role will also grow and support community and events fundraising.

Based in East London, we are open to discussing a hybrid of in-office and home working. The role will involve occasional off-site and evening meetings. The post is subject to 3-month probation and an Enhanced DBS check.

Now in our 11th year, Ministry of Stories is growing our community and schools writing programmes and are focused on expanding sources of funding and increasing our earned income potential from school partners and our shop, Hoxton Street Monster Supplies.

Our direction of travel is spreading financial risk by seeking multi-year funding agreements and increasing the proportion of private income for core work. We aim to grow corporate partnerships and increase individual donors. In time, we aspire to rebuild our community and events fundraising, with our eye on return on investment.

We seek an expert, ambition and dynamic corporate fundraiser to grow and diversify our funder portfolio, strongly focused on securing new corporate partnerships and growing cash- and regular- donors through appeals and marketing. This is a chance to make your mark and contribute to the future of an exciting charity which has achieved high value corporate partnerships, values strong relationships, has a history of running successful events and the potential for meaningful engagement through volunteering.

We have a motivated senior leadership team and an active, engaged board. We have invested in two fundraisers for three years, which has helped realise income growth, new opportunities and brought unique creativity to our fundraising. We are in a unique position recruit both fundraising roles simultaneously, bringing a combination of skills and specialisms.

Now is the perfect time to bring your talent and vision to our small but mighty charity, to build on our solid fundraising foundations and create a long-term, sustainable future for the Ministry of Stories.
