Director, Blackheath Halls Opera


Blackheath Halls is looking for an enthusiastic director to direct their 2022 opera, as well as looking to expand their roster of directors for associated projects and for future operas.

The annual Blackheath Halls Opera is a successful project that has been running since 2007. Blackheath Halls Opera is proud of its programme of ambitious and creative opera projects offering people of all ages from across the London Boroughs of Greenwich, Lewisham and beyond a unique opportunity to take part in high-quality, live music making alongside a professional cast of soloists and production teams.

Performances of the 2022 Blackheath Halls Opera will be in late September and early October 2022, with rehearsals from late July 2022 (exact dates TBC). Repertoire is yet to be decided and the appointed director will be part of the decision-making process.

The deadline for applications is Monday 6 December 2021, midday. Interviews will be held on Monday 13 December 2021 at Blackheath Halls.
Shortlisted candidates will then lead an opera workshop with members of our community chorus on Saturday 15 January 2022.
