Head of Sales and Design, Goldfinger Factory


Reports to: CEO

Direct reports: In-House Designer & Maker

Working pattern: Full-time, flexible working considered

Salary: £35-45k FTE, depending on experience, plus commission

Location: Remote and at Goldfinger, W10 5NY (min. 1-2 days a week on site)

The Head of Sales & Design role is a unique opportunity for an energetic and innovative individual to lead the strategy for the bespoke division of Goldfinger, joining our small but mighty team of ten. The focus of the role is to meet sales targets through successful delivery of the highest quality furniture commissions: the role involves design and quoting, project management and account management. The main responsibility is to generate sales leads, develop project briefs with the clients and deliver the projects with the assistance of our Inhouse Designer and Maker and managing subcontractors. This role would suit candidates with experience in design or furniture making, looking to make an impact within a sustainable, values-led organisation. With plans to scale, there is a significant opportunity to grow this role and the Bespoke team.

Person specification


  • Significant sales experience within the design / architecture industries
  • Strong relationship builder with strong presentation and negotiation skills
  • Proven analytical, numerical and IT skills, including software package competence
  • Experience with / understanding of construction drawings
  • Ability to manage a varied work-load with competing priorities
  • Line management experience
  • Strategically minded and innovative
  • Resourceful and adaptable
  • A commitment to sustainability and positive social impact
  • A passion for design and / or sustainable furniture


  • Understanding the running of a woodworking workshop
  • Experience of working within the charitable / not for profit sector
  • Technical knowledge of furniture / product making processes
  • CAD experience for costing and technical construction drawing
  • Knowledge of various software suites (GSuite, Xero, Podio)
