Description

ABOUT THE EVENT:

Mateus Domingos is an artist and writer based in Leicester. His work utilises games, 3D printing, fictional alphabets, maps and filmmaking to investigate themes of narrative, place, text, language and the use of new digital spaces.

Led by Mateus himself, the online workshop will provide a small number of creatives the opportunity to create their own choose-your-own-adventure style game through open-source software Twine. Mateus will demonstrate his own interactive fiction games and support participants through a beginners guide to game-making.

From this, a web-based community exhibition featuring the outcomes of the workshop, will be created and presented by Modern Painters, New Decorators.

The workshop will run over the course of three hours and will cover the basic principles of story telling and choose-your-own-adventure style game making, how to navigate Twine and an insight into the life of a practicing artist.
