Art as Forum: Navigating Racial and Social Injustice

Online Interactive Training | In collaboration with Odd Arts

This training is delivered in collaboration with Odd Arts, an anti-racist and trauma-informed charity that uses theatre and creativity to reduce inequality and strengthen wellbeing and social cohesion.

Odd Arts works across criminal justice, community, education and healthcare settings, delivering innovative creative workshops rooted in restorative practice and non-violent communication. Their work focuses on mental health and wellbeing, violence reduction, and healthy relationships, using games, role-play, performance and self-reflection to create meaningful social change.

About the Training

Art as Forum is an online, interactive workshop designed to support artists and facilitators to confidently hold space for difficult and sensitive conversations around current social issues affecting our communities.

The session explores topics such as race, immigration, and polarising socio-political issues, offering practical tools, evidence-based approaches, and theoretical frameworks drawn from Odd Arts' extensive practice.

Participants will engage in discussion, creative exercises and tailored scenarios to build confidence, awareness and skill when facilitating challenging conversations safely and ethically.
