Event Description
Women's History Month in East London is an engaging programme of events co-ordinated by Alternative Arts and supported by Tower Hamlets council, in collaboration with East London's vibrant venues and communities. Taking place throughout March, the programme celebrates women artists, activists, writers and performers and brings attention to the many women's groups and organisations of East London. Visit a host of exciting new shows across visual arts and theatre, alongside talks, heritage tours, workshops and performances. Alternative Arts spotlight pioneering local women, past and present, in their online exhibition Well Known Women from East London, available to view on their website: alternativearts.org.uk.
