A short course introducing you to analogue portrait photography and basic darkroom practices. • Making portraits with models outdoors in natural light, and in a studio using strobes

• Making a contact sheet of your shoots

• Discussing as a group which pictures are most successful and deciding which to print

• How to print and fine-tune beautiful silver-gelatin enlargements of your portraits.

You will come away from this course with a beautiful small portfolio of portraiture prints and a grasp of everything needed to continue working in this field, as well the ability to print your work to a good standard in the darkroom.
