Event Summary

UK Higher Education institutions are invited to nominate a final-year student currently completing a BA Fine Art or Painting course to be considered for the Freelands Painting Prize.

Event Description

The Freelands Painting Prize celebrates outstanding painting by final-year students at art schools and universities across the UK.

Higher Education institutions in the UK are invited to nominate a final-year student from the 2025-26 academic year currently completing a BA Fine Art or Painting course. All submissions will be reviewed by an independent jury, who will shortlist a group of artists to participate in an exhibition at Freelands Foundation.

For the first time this year, the jury will select an individual winner to receive a consultation and £1,000 worth of materials from our partner Wallace Seymour, makers of high-quality painting and drawing materials.
