Event Summary

Offbeat Dursley is a one-day micro-festival in June 2026 featuring talks, workshops, participatory making, street performance, music and a collective parade. We are inviting artists, makers and facilitators to contribute activities and help shape this community-led event.

Event Description

Offbeat Dursley 2026 is a one-day, town-wide micro-festival taking place in June 2026 in Market Square and the surrounding streets of Dursley, Gloucestershire. The event brings together creativity, conversation and community in a welcoming public setting. Residents and visitors will encounter talks, demonstrations, workshops, making sessions, music, food and informal performance across the town centre. At the heart of the day will be a Show & Share space under the Market Hall. Rather than a traditional market, this will be a community-led area where people share knowledge, ideas, demonstrations and conversations. Selling can be part of this, but the focus is on exchange, discovery and community energy. Participants might share herb knowledge, repair and mending skills, craft processes, creative practices, sustainability ideas, or community initiatives. Makers, artists, local organisations and small businesses are all welcome. Upstairs in the Town Hall will be the intentional programme space, hosting timed talks, storytelling, workshops and demonstrations. We are currently inviting artists, makers, facilitators and contributors who would like to: Host a Show & Share table Share knowledge or demonstrate a craft or process Lead a workshop or participatory activity Deliver a short talk or storytelling session Perform or contribute to the collective making moment and street activity Entry to the festival is free for the public. Contributor table options: £10 - Show & Share table (knowledge sharing, demonstrations or community activity; no commercial sales) £20 - Show & Sell table (for stalls selling products, goods or services) We are also welcoming proposals for talks, workshops and demonstrations (typically 10-30 minutes). A small facilitation budget is available for selected contributors. Offbeat Dursley is a community-led initiative celebrating the creativity, skills and spirit of the town while creating a joyful, welcoming day for people of all ages.
