Event Description
This one-day online training helps participants develop the confidence and techniques needed to plan and lead engaging, inclusive sessions in creative, cultural, and heritage contexts. Designed for emerging facilitators, creative practitioners, educators and project leaders, the course explores what effective facilitation looks like in practice: from building trust and managing group dynamics, to communicating clearly and adapting to different learning styles.
Throughout the day, participants will take part in interactive activities which will empower participants to create inclusive and engaging sessions.
In this course, you will:
- Learn how to create open, safe environments that encourage participation and collaboration
- Explore practical methods for supporting group discussions and managing challenging dynamics
- Develop your communication and questioning techniques to promote active engagement
- Understand how to adapt your approach for different personalities, learning styles, and settings
- Practise applying facilitation models through real-world scenarios and reflective discussion
