Event Summary

One-day, practice-led workshop for dance practitioners to explore identity, bias, and power in teaching. Through reflection, discussion, and embodied exercises, participants develop practical strategies and a toolkit to create inclusive, empowering, and transformative learning environments.

Event Description

This one-day, practice-led workshop equips dance and performance practitioners with practical tools to create more inclusive, empowering learning environments. Through embodied exercises, reflection, and peer discussion, participants explore how identity, bias, and power show up in teaching and learning, and develop actionable strategies to transform their practice. This is not compliance training or a 'tick-box' session, it's a facilitated lab for practitioners ready to take responsibility for ongoing, meaningful change. Participants leave with a toolkit to support reflection, accountability, and immediate application in their own classes, workplaces, and settings.
