How do we arrive at the identities we inhabit? What informs the many presentations of self that we make over our day, our week, our month, our year? Our lives? How are we in a relationship with this multifaceted self? What are the sources of grounding, guidance, inspiration, and succour to us? Who or what are the sources of impediment, diminishment, disturbance, or estrangement from our singular relationship with ourselves? How do we establish and sustain an ongoing, creative, fresh relationship with the emergent dynamics of our lives?

Autoethnographic inquiry and writing are ways to begin exploring these questions. In my book Ancient African Futures: Systemic Constellations Practice A Decolonial Poetics , I embarked on this journey of self-inquiry and into the history and dynamics of Systemic Constellations Practice, one of the professional domains I move within.

This introductory workshop for writers of all stripes offers a space of dialogue, experimentation, inquiry, reflection and if we're lucky (re)connection and inspiration.
