Totally Thames festival is curated and managed by Thames Festival Trust. Our aim is to work collaboratively with artists, communities, river interest organisations and businesses to explore the river's past, celebrate its present and protect its future.

Submit your ideas

We are inviting proposals for Totally Thames festival 2026 and welcome applications from:

• Artists and arts organisations working in any artform, including performance, visual arts, digital, and film
• Heritage, community, environmental, and river-related projects

All proposals must be inspired by the River Thames, its waterways, or themes of sustainability.

Deadline: Tuesday 10 March, 11:59pm.

Need a venue?

Projects must take place on or near the River. For selected projects, we can help identify exciting and unique river locations. Please note that venue hire costs may still apply.

What we're looking for

Projects that:

• Place the river at their heart, with particular interest in climate change and sustainability themes
• Have funding in place or a realistic funding plan
• Take place in London on or around the Thames between 1-30 September 2026
