A 4-Week Creative Writing Course with Christopher Finnegan-Wright. This online course isn't about promising you a playwrighting commission deal. It isn't about shortcuts. Across four weekly sessions (1hr 30mins each), we'll explore the core architecture of powerful storytelling: Week 1 - Character Devising & Development Building psychologically and socially layered characters rooted in truth, contradiction and lived experience. Week 2 - Monologues & Duologues Voice, rhythm and dramatic tension - writing dialogue that carries subtext, stakes and emotional charge. Week 3 - Conflict, Stakes & Story Shape Dramatic propulsion. Internal vs external conflict. Structural choices that shape audience experience. Week 4 - World Building Constructing coherent social, emotional and political landscapes - from intimate realism to expansive mythic systems.
