Event Summary
Join Freelands Foundation for a panel discussion that explores ‘utopian’ imaginings for art education across schooling, art and policy.
Event Description
Join us for a panel discussion that explores how we might reimagine education with art at its centre, and what transformative impacts this might have. Gathering speakers across schooling, art and policy, this panel engages with utopia not as idealistic longing but as a means of practising potential alternative futures. Together, the panellists will share their own experiences testing alternative visions for art education, offering examples of 'real utopias' that sketch out possible ways of centring art in a more creative, enquiry-based approach to education. Panellists: Dr Malaika Cunningham, Ruth Levene and Joeanna Omotesho. This event is free and open to all. The panel discussion will take place from 6.45-8.00pm. Doors from 6.30pm.
