Event Description

Artist-Leader: UNLOCK is a FREE six-week online programme for artists, facilitators, and creative practitioners who want to lead projects, work with communities, and build values-led creative work. Across three core themes, you'll explore who you are as an artist-leader, who you're building with, and how to shape a project that feels both meaningful and fundable. Programme Overview Six weekly sessions | Mondays, 10:00-11:30am | Starting 11 May 2026 Part One: Know Yourself Who are you as an artist-leader? Explore your creative identity, values, strengths, needs, and boundaries - and what helps you do your best work. Week 1 - Teaching Space (11 May): Vision, values, strengths, lived experience, wants, needs, and boundaries. Week 2 - Practice Space (18 May): Integrating your reflections into a personal leadership approach, working agreements, and next steps for sustainable practice. Part Two: Know Your People Who are you building with and for? Understand the relationships around your work, including communities, collaborators, partners, and funders. Week 3 - Teaching Space (1 June): Collaborators, communities, allies, partners, funders, and values alignment. Week 4 - Practice Space (8 June): Applying this to your own project - mapping relationships, identifying partners, and making aligned decisions about who to work with and how. Part Three: Know Your Project What are you building - and how will you make it happen? Shape your project from the ground up and prepare to pitch or apply for funding. Week 5 - Teaching Space (15 June): Project focus, structure, budgets, monitoring and evaluation, and what funders look for. Week 6 - Practice Space (22 June): Turning your ideas into a simple project outline, rough budget, and clear next steps toward a pitch or funding application.
