Event Description

(Two full days)

An in-depth safeguarding course for those responsible for managing safeguarding in an organisation.

This two-day course focuses on organisational responsibility, oversight and leadership in safeguarding. It goes beyond individual practice to explore how safeguarding is embedded, monitored and supported across teams, systems and structures.

In this course, you will:

Explore organisational safeguarding responsibilities
Consider safer recruitment and workforce considerations
Develop approaches to managing and supporting safeguarding practice across teams
Reflect on accountability, oversight and organisational culture

Why attend

This course is designed for those with strategic responsibility for safeguarding, such as those in leadership roles or those responsible for writing and implementing safeguarding polices and procedures. It provides the space to think critically about safeguarding systems, leadership and practice, and how safeguarding is sustained within organisations over time.

Ideal for

Senior managers, heads of department, organisational safeguarding leads and leadership teams. Some DSOs may attend, but this course is not designed solely for DSO decision-making: Safeguarding in Context: Strengthening Professional Judgement is specifically for DSOs.

Course Cost: £369 per person

Part I: Tuesday 3 November, 10.00-15.30, Online via Zoom
